Horror Fest

I am a big horror film fan. I like the suspense type of horror films but also the good old blood-and -guts films also. They is nothing like getting that adrenaline flowing to let you know you are alive! I would love to go to horror fest this year but due to location I don't think it will be possible. This is 8 horror films shown between November 9th-18th. These are all new, groundbreaking films. You can see all the films, or just one. St. Louis and Peoria are the two places that are having it the closest to us.

If you purchased all-access passes they were priced at $75 (had to be done before October 31st). Pretty expensive, but not bad when you realize you are getting to see 8 films on the big screen plus a Goodie Bag from After Dark Films. The 8 films are: The Deaths of Ian Stone, Nightmare Man, Crazy Eights, Unearthed, Borderland, Mulberry Street, Tooth and Nail, and Lake Dead.

If you are lucky enough to even see one of these films please let me know what you think. Maybe next year I will plan a "Horror-vacation" to one of these cities!

Mr.Carey I think you would get along with my uncle Robert and aunt Kisha because they both love horror films, by the way if you have directtv or cable you could have watched them they are also at FamilyVideo.

My sister loves horror films, but I'm not the bigest fan of horror films. I like them and when I go to bed I'm not afraid that some monster will come get me. I see it as it's never happend before, so why would it happen now? When i see old horror movies they make me laf... lagh, laph, how ever it's spelled... because all the stuf looks fake. I think my sister wants to see the 8 films to die for. I don't realy want to see them, but if I get a chance I probably will go see them.

Keep your eye out for "Left for Dead," which is now in post-production. The screenwriter is Quincy's own Chad Leslie...you can see reviews and follow its progress to theaters on www.imdb.com.

Hey Mr. C,

I don't think that horror films are that bad! I'm not the biggest fan of them though. Like some of them are just totally CORNY!!!! For example, in one of the movies that I saw, this lady's head hit the carpet(when she was getting chased by another person or thing)and she died! But I guess if I could find the right type of horror movie I could get into them. Although I am not much into Blood and gut(gory)types!

Mr. C,
I'd like to start off by making a statement about the picture that begins the post: SWEET! Anyway, I like horror movies, but to a certain extent. I don't like movies that are based on some sort of mythical creature. They're ok, but I like movies like Final Destiation(1,2,3),The Devil's Den, Idle Hands; you know- death and gore(rock on!). I'd heard about Horrorfest but didn't know where or when it would be. But they do have a "new" awards called the Scream Awards. I watched it on Spike. Thought it was hilarious but now I think I'm lame because I had never heard of 1/2 of those movies! Pathetic, I know!!

I like horror movies, my brother is more the fan. I'm mostly into the science shows, but the horror films gets you out of the world, unless its base on a true story(like all the war movies i seen with bj)
